hi. i recently installed SCCM R2 SP1, and deployed XP SP3 successfully as described in the forums here. however, i had to upgrade SCCM to SP2 in order to deploy Windows 7. after upgrading, i was not able to deploy windows xp (nor windows 7) to my test machine. the TS fails after starting up. Initial testing of Operating System Deployment (OSD) deploying Windows 7 SP1 was initially successful. However, when testing deploying Windows 7 to another model it failed downloading the MDT package after the machine joined the domain and got the SCCM client installed. The failure occurred after the restart following the "Setup Windows and. SCCM SP1 U1 with SQL R2 on the same box. We have PCs so 1 box has all the roles/components Issue: downloading files takes ridiculous amount of time to download in the early parts of OSD. ie We have a task in our OSD task sequence named "Use MDT Toolkit Package"; it's 51MB and it can take minutes to download on the local LAN (1GB).

To check the drivers, I have manually selected the missing drivers and updated them, pointing them to the driver location on SCCM 's sources$ share. The drivers install find without issue.
